Hello there and welcome to my website.  I'm very glad you came by today.  I hope you are enjoying your stay here at the Lil' Red School House.  My name is Jennifer Wood and I'm the creator of this website.  I live in the great state of Oklahoma, up in the very northeastern corner, with my husband, Jody, and our two daughters, Krista and Sydnee.

    After working many years in both the public school and the private school sectors I now proudly homeschool our daughters.  I still work part time as a substitute teacher, working with all ages of students - from kindergarten to grade 12.  I also privately tutor fellow homeschoolers.  In the past, I have taught preschool and then co-taught in a grade 3-5 classroom at a local private school.  I have also worked as an after school program teacher for that same school, teaching children age 3 through grade 5.

   I actively volunteer with the Girl Scouts and lead a large multiage troop.  I also love doing web design and have been creating websites for over 10 years.  I have combined my love for teaching (and learning!) and my love for web design to create this site.  The goal of the Lil' Red School House is to share ideas and inspirations with other teachers all over the world.
